A 2008 Montgras Carmenere Reserva
Yesterday and last night were good. Had a pleasantly busy day at the office with a little drama here and there. Hadn't seen that in awhile, so it was nice to get that out of our systems.
I think most of us are just extremely ready to get this show over with. It gets like this in the first quarter because our show is usually the first week of March. I liken it to a pot of water put on low heat. At first it is just going to sit there and stay still. As time goes on the pot will eventually start to boil and get heated. You let it keep going and it starts to rise. At some point the heat will be so unbearable that the water will rise and start to overflow in chaos. This is symbolic of a year at Oxford Publishing. After the show you take the pot off that eye and all of sudden it is calm again.
So, with all that said we had a bit of drama yesterday with our most senior losing her shit and taking out on some young employees. This is not unusual as I have seen it happen a million times. She can't control it, but I need to do a better job of intervening.
After all that I then got to go to a therapy session. It was really my first one I have ever been to. All I can say is WOW! Talk about enjoyment. I won't go into details of why I was there, but it was very healthy and I feel very rejuvenated today. I got a long way to go. The Therapist was probably thinking I got snakes in my head.
After our session my wife and I went to a local establishment and spent too much money. I think we deserved it because we had a great talk. We visited and talked about issues in the world which we haven't done in a long time. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible burger (85% Lean Beef and 15% Bacon,) we got to enjoy a nice a bottle of wine.
A 2008 Montgras Carmenere Reserva from Chile. A value if I have ever seen one. Hell I thought it was even a great value at the restaurant mark up price and a meesly $23.00. It had a beautiful darkness too it and was a medium/heavy wine in my book. Had great spice and fruit with a little bit of mineral in it. It had red/light fruits as cherry on the nose and dark fruits in the mouth.
If you see it, BUY IT! I know I will.
Oh, and I did get a reply back to one of my applications I submitted yesterday. It was just saying that they will get in touch with me if I fit their needs, however, I get really excited with any kind of reply. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!
Now, I sit here on a Thursday morning knowing that not much will happen today. Standing On Top of The World just came on and I am ready to take the day on full throttle.
