Great interview. Steve is so knowlegable and passionate about his craft. I've never been to a winery in the Hudson valley, but from this short interview, I will make a trip to Stoutridge. Thank you for creating the interview and posting it.

Stoutridge winery

This winery was absolutely beautiful but our experience there was absolutely dreadful!!! We were on a wine tour and stopped at 4 other wineries. The first four were terrific and the people couldn't have been nicer. We were having a wonderful day until we met Steve! He was not only bossy, he was downright obnoxious!!! I completely understand being passionate about what you do (which he clearly is) but there is a MAJOR difference between being passionate and being over the top. I apologize if he has some sort of OCD or some form of autism but he could not handle people carrying on conversations while he explained IN DEPTH about each wine. Most of us basically just care about the taste of the wine and would prefer to hear a BRIEF summary about each wine and then get down to the TASTING!!! That is what we came for right?!?! If we had questions we surely would have asked them. So basically I hope that Steve can brush up on his people skills and learn to read his crowd a little better.
