PinotBlogger.com Offers a Wine Blogger Scholarship!

I was really impressed when I saw this post on PinotBlogger.com, offering a scholarship to a lucky wine blogger! As a fledgling blogger, I love seeing what others are writing about, and this certainly peeked my interest- in more ways than one. I can’t wait to read the entries and of course I love a challenge and shot at winning the potential $1000 prize!

My Experience at the Tampa Bay Wine & Food Fest

I had the opportunity to taste my way through the Tampa Bay Wine & Food Festival this past weekend. This was my first time at this event and I am happy to report that I was very impressed! It was a relaxing and fun atmosphere of food and wine on St. Petersburg Beach at the Loews Don Cesar Resort and reminded me very much in style of the much larger South Beach Wine & Food Festival.

Decant one and all, young and old!

Sheboygan Bratfest- Tampa Style

As part of the Foodbuzz 24, 24, 24, we held Sheboygan Bratfest Tampa Style 2009 on Saturday, April 25th. At the heart of our Tampa style Braftest is of course the Sheboygan brat, from the Sheboyan Bratwurst Company in Wisconsin. If you haven’t had a Sheboygan Bratwurst, I really think that you haven’t had a great brat. I absolutely LOVE bratwurst, and being in Tampa, brats are not something that you come upon on a regular basis.

Bern's Winefest- tasting extraordinaire!

We were lucky enough to participate in the Bern’s Winefest this weekend in Tampa, one of the largest (and in my humble opinion) best food and wine events in Florida. This was our first year on the other side of the table, pouring our wine from Due Cani Cellars, instead of out sampling everyone else’s wine. Although, I was anticipating tasting envy, we did get a chance to take turns escaping the table for a few minutes here and there with to try a wine or two with friends.
