Who's organizing?

Alisa Hoffman  We will meet in front of the location a few minutes prior to tour time. 

PurVine has offered our group a backstage pass to venture behind the scenes and tour their winemaking facility. You will see first-hand the step-by-step winemaking process and be able to taste wines in process (similar to the barrel tasting we went to in the Russian River Valley, CA, so if you missed that, here's another chance - locally). Master Vintners will lead us on an orientation that include fermentation, pressing, racking, aging, bottling, and labeling.

PurVine is currently situated in Tempe, but will later move to Centerpoint Condominiums in the heart of the Mill District. Grapes are sourced from Napa Valley and Sonoma County, CA and currently focus on Cabernets. Although wines retail for $100/bottle and are not for sale to the general public, they have offered this tasting to us. (They have confirmed that this will not be a sales pitch! I get the impression that they are similar to our partner Crushpad, with the ability to buy a barrel and "bottle your own" - but they are closer to visit.)

Cost is $15. Please make payment in advance to hold your reservation. You can pay by PayPal ($15 +$2 service charge = $17) or send me a check ($15, no service charge, please e-mail me for address). All payments must be received by Tues. 8/12 so that I can give them a final headcount. No refunds given for cancellations on or after this date.
