I'm wined out, are you? Let's try something new. How about a beer tasting?  We'll pair four 6-oz. glasses of selected beer with four gourmet cheeses:
 

• Roaring 40's Blue with Hopsquatch (this beer was voted best brew for wine snobs by The New Times!)

   

   

• Bandaged Cheddar with Raj IPA

   

   

• Red Dragon & Mustard Seed with Kilt Lifter Scottish amber

   

   

• St. Andre Triple Crème with SunBru
   

Our hostess will lead us through the tasting, explaining the nuances each beer brings out in the cheese pairing. Cheese will be plated individually with toasted baguette, candied walnuts and fresh marmalade. We will start no later than 6:45, so please do not be late. I will be posting the names of the beers and the exact cheeses as soon as I receive the final menu from them.

Cost is $21 per person, plus tax and gratuity, payable at the restaurant that night. Members may also choose to stay for dinner and additional libations after the tasting. I hear they have very good food.
