SWB, a southwest bistro, at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale holds “Wine Me, Dine Me” nights, where guests are seated at the counter adjoining the open kitchen and enjoy a 4-course meal while watching the chefs prepare dishes in the wood-fired ovens. Chef's dinners and exposition kitchens are popular for two reasons: they create a sense of intimacy between chef and diner and they give the diner a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Join us for this exclusive event (limited to 6 participants) as Executive Chef Juan Solorio interacts with chefs in the kitchen and the diners at the table. Chef Juan, a familiar face in the Phoenix restaurant scene for the past 22 years, says, “I enjoy being able to discuss the different cooking methods and how to use all the different ingredients, especially those that a guest is least familiar with.”

Chef Juan is originally from Mexico City, and his heritage shows in his creative southwest cuisine. We will enjoy a 4-course menu, paired with a different libation for each course (1 tequila, 2 dinner wines, 1 dessert wine). Because the menu is ever-changing, I cannot give the full description here, but no doubt, it will be spectacular! An event like this allows the chef to experiment with new dishes and get customer feedback. It also allows the meal to be cooked precisely to your preference. Items from their regular menu include roasted sea bass, double-cut pork chops, wood-fired chicken, and grilled steaks, all with a southwest flair.
