Great Event, temperature was in the 90's so it was nice being in the shade of the giant oaks at Wine & Roses. A well balanced group of people, young, old, friendly, and it was not too crowded.  The menu had a european feel, with many tapas sized apetizers containing tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and bakery goods. Crush Kitchen & Bar served an egg plant bruschetta that was good. Cechetti Extra Virgen olive oil has the sweet and sour tomato salsa with a nice basil accent. The Creamery teamed up with the Mettler's to make a port chocolate ice-cream that was delicious. For wines highlights, Kinkerbrink's Old Ghost old vine zinfindel, and Mokelumne Glen Vineyards, and exclusively german wine specialist, had an excellent dessert wine. The Lodi Ametuer Vitneers Association (LAVA) had some impressive wines, those home wine makers are really stepping it up. In fact, most of the head wine makers were actually at their booth enabling me to get the true story about each varietal. Had a great time.
