Sausalito in the Summer
My wife and I were visiting our son who lives in San Francisco. We were really lucky and enjoyed four straight days of sunny days in the 70’s. He suggested we take the ferry from base of Market Street to Sausalito as something unique to the Bay area. He was right. The ferry took us (my wife, my son, a friend of his from work, and me) by Alcatraz an over to Sausalito where we enjoyed the beauty and quaintness of the town. After lunch, we walked up and down the streets checking out the retailers.

A 360 View of San Francisco Wine
The middle of last week, I was in San Francisco on business and took a couple of days on the weekend to visit my son, who is doing his residency at the University of California, San Francisco. After a 30 hour on-call that lasted closer to 36 hours, and a follow up the next morning to check on the patients he admitted, we headed out to see part of San Francisco. We ate a late lunch in a neighborhood Chinese restaurant (very good food in a family run restaurant), we walked and bussed our way over to the wharf area. Our destination was Ghirardelli Square.

What are your favorite wine and food restaurants?
I get to travel around the country at times and I'm in search of great wine and food restaurants. One of my recent favorites is Napa Rose in Anaheim.
What are your favorites? Do you have any suggestions for me for any around the U.S.?
