01: The knowledge gained over 25 growing seasons is now fully coming to fruition at Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards, Sonoma, the first sparkling wine house built in Carneros. Eva Bertran, Vice President Marketing, has been with the company since 1986. She shares the story of the Ferrer family’s history as well as the Freixenet Group, the world’s largest producer of méthode champenoise sparkling wines. The Ferrers are co-hosting the 2014 Sonoma Havest Wine Auction, as part of the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, August 29-31.

02: A rich montage of flavors is hand-farmed at Gloria Ferrer’s Sonoma Carneros estate vineyards. The 2008 Brut Rosé (92% Pinot Noir, 8% Chardonnay) is a superb cheese wine and complements the hard-to-pair artichoke. It serves faithfully as well as a delicious apéritif or with a wide range of cuisine from fresh oysters to grilled prawns, salmon, mussels and olives. The newest sparkling wine release from Gloria Ferrer is a Non-Vintage (NV) Blanc de Blancs made exclusively from Carneros estate-grown Chardonnay. Savor accordingly! Steven Urberg has been with the winery full-time since 2001. As Winemaker for Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards, his favorite go-to food with his sparkling wines is sushi, bar-none.

Segment-3: California Wines - New Sonoma House At Patz & Hall Is Unveiled for New Friends – James Hall
