Segment-1: Wine Education - The Award Winning 'Bodega Numanthia' is an Icon of Toro Appellation in Spain - Manuel Louzada

01: Manuel Louzada is Winemaker and Estate Director at Bodega Numanthia, one of the most sought-after Spanish wineries from the Toro region of Spain, consistently scoring 90+ points. Tinta de Toro, an adaptation of the Tempranillo grape unique to the Toro region, has naturally resisted Phylloxera for over 140 years in the Toro sandy soils. Numanthia wines are produced from vines that are over 120 years old with yields among the lowest in the world creating wines of intense concentration and structure. Numanthia is part of the LVMH Group.

Segment-2: Wine Educations - Numanthia The Revival of a Spanish Legend of Resistance and Tenacity - Manuel Louzada

02: Numanthia's vineyards are "a patchwork of tiny plots," with century- old vines, first planted in 1870... the year that Phylloxera arrived. The vines grow in an extreme climate, extreme temperatures throughout the year and as little as fifteen inches of rainfall. The Numanthia estate is situated at Valdefinjas, a small village in the Zamora province. Numanthia was founded in 1998 by the Eguren familly, native of Rioja, in order to create the best wine of the Toro appellation.
