First segment of this weeks Show: Badia a Coltibuono Ancient Tuscan Estate Composes Organic Sustenance - Emanuela Stucchi Prinetti

Badia a Coltibuono has been making wine since the Middle Ages. For over one hundred and fifty years the farm has been run by the Stucchi Prinetti family which cultivates organic grapes in the 70 hectares of vineyard located in the heart of Chianti to produce Chianti Classico, the "Super Tuscan" Sangioveto and Vin Santo del Chianti. Badia a Coltibuono estate, hand-picked, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, and Badia a Coltibuono Red Wine Vinegar made with great care from specially selected wines that are allowed to filter through wood shavings impregnated with vinegar culture. Its complexity is further enhanced by further maturing in cask. Emanuela Stucchi Prinetti, Managing Director, fifth generation wine producer. In July, 2000, Emanuela was the first woman to be elected as President of the Marchio Storico del Chianti Classico. Today, she manages Coltibuono assisted by her three brothers.

Second segment of this weeks Show: Badia a Coltibuono... Abbey of the Good Harvest... since the Eleventh Century - Emanuela Stucchi Prinetti

Badia a Coltibuono is the first wine resort in Chianti, opening it's doors to travellers and visitors who want to share a truly unique experience. Here it is possible to observe the slow yet intense rhythm of a 1000 year old abbey and farm and to sleep in history. Guests can rest and relax in the magnificent Italian style garden or, during the summer months, around the large open-air swimming pool.
