First segment of this weeks Show: Los Olivos's Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards Estate Grown Sustainably Managed - Eric Mohseni

Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards is an artisanal producer of Rhone focused varietals that are 100 percent estate grown and bottled using sustainable management techniques. The winery has a beautiful history, is environmentally focused, and is home to the oldest Syrah vines cuttings brought over from Chapoutier in the Hermitage region of the Northern Rhone still in existence in California. I hope you will find my conversation with Zaca Mesa Winery Winemaker Eric Mohseni very engaging.

Second segment of this weeks Show: Zaca Mesa Wines Deliver Unique, Terroir-Based Experiences from Santa Barbara County - Eric Mohseni

Located in the northern most portion of Santa Ynez Valley American Viticulture Appellation within Santa Barbara County, Zaca Mesa estate is only 30 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Unlike most parts of the California coast, their valleys orient east-west, thus opening directly to the cooling marine influences that include morning fog and afternoon breezes. Zaca Mesa vineyard consists of 244 plantable acres on the 750 acre estate. The soils are mostly sandy loam with plenty of rocks; The vineyard was once covered in pre-historic ocean dunes which now lay 1,500 feet above sea level.
