First segment of this weeks Show: The Wine Line Shuttle Service Hop On Hope Off New Approach to Touring Paso Robles Wine Country - Jason Westfall

The Wine Line, launched in early 2009, has taken a totally different approach to wine tasting tours. They offer a hop on, hop off tour approach that operates much like a city bus does. They pick you up at your accommodations and then you get to choose from 60 wineries to visit. They take you to your selected winery, walk you in and introduce you to the tasting staff, then return in 40 minutes to see if you are ready to be picked up, if not, no problem they come back every 40 minutes. The whole concept, which has been a humongous hit in Paso Robles, was born from owner/operator Jason Westfall's bad experience on a tasting tour he and some friends took.

Becky Sue Epstein, Wine and Travel Columnist, PalatePress, reports on her observations attending Vinoble 2010 7th International Dessert Wine Conference in Jerez, Spain. The International Exhibition of Noble Wines is the only one dedicated to the fortified, dessert and natural sweet wines. It is held every two years in Jerez de la Frontera, the Andalusian city that share its name with one of the most famous wines made in Spain. These appreciated wines are made always with great affection and care, with very complicated elaboration, didn't have a global framework or a reference to appear despite being regarded as the best wines in the world. Vinoble was created to become the center of meeting and showcase for these special wines.
