3rd segment of this weeks Show: Wine Education: Waterford, Virginia, Loudoun County, Corcoran Vineyards Viognier and More - Jim Corcoran

The idea of growing grapes and having their own vineyard started taking shape in 2001, the same year they started prepping their fields for a trial planting of grapes ordered from Sonoma Grapevines. When the vines arrived in 2002, the first block of Chardonnay was planted on the family farm known as Corkys Farm, in Waterford, Virginia. The Corcoran family's goal is to provide visitors with a great experience, enjoying good wines with family and friends in a 1750 restored log cabin overlooking a beautiful pond. Limited production, meticulous cellar work, and careful selection of fruit ensure the highest quality possible. Jim Corcoran is co-founder and proprietor of Corcoran Vineyards.
