Third segment of this weeks Show: Corrido Tequila-making Approaches Wine... Flavors Influenced by Terroir Aged To Taste - Brad Hoover

The Corrido is a musical form of Mexican folklore, originating from the late 1800's in the U.S.- Mexico border regions. Evolving during the U.S. Prohibition, the Corrido often honored the tequilero or tequila smugglers, who gained popularity along the border in those turbulent times. Corrido is now "smuggled" (legally of course) into the United States by True Blue Imports, LLC. Corrido is produced at the Corrido "Prasa" distillery in Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, using 100 percent blue agave harvested from the rich volcanic soil. Brad Hoover is Founder and Vice President of True Blue Imports of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Fourth segment of this weeks Show: Corrido Tequila 100 Percent Blue Agave Single-Estate Grown at 4,500 - 5,000 Feet Elevation

As Tequila portfolio's go, Brad Hoover explains that Corrido is stylistically feminine with citrus notes and a ligher, brighter acidity reflecting high-elevation grown agave. Corrido Cristalino blanco, and all of the aged tequilas benefit from a highly refined, proprietary, "Single-Barrel" sequential barrel aging technique, including Corrido Reposado (aged 6 months), Corrido Anejo (aged 18 months) and Corrido Extra Anejo (aged 3 years). Corrido Extra Anejo was awarded the Best of Show as well as the Best of Agave Spirits in 2009 inaugural The New York Spirits Awards. Corrido Reposado won Double Gold at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
