First segment of this weeks Show: New Angove Wine Releases Recognized as Top Aussie "Recession- Busters" - Tim Boydell

Tim Boydell, Senior Vice President for Angove Family Winemakers of South Australia, former Jackaroo, joins us from Orlando while on tour in the U.S. tasting sommeliers and retailers on the new fabulously delicious and fabulously priced (just under $10) Nine Vine Wines (dry, unfiltered, unfined... Vegan / Kosher-friendly) Rosé, Viognier, and Shiraz Viognier. When leading Australian wine writer Campbell Mattinsons decided to emphasize a budget view of wine for the new edition of his annual Big Red Wine Book, top honors went to Angove Family Winemakers: “If ever there were a time for a special award, it's now, and if ever a winery deserved it, it's Angove Family Winemakers. Wine after wine, whenever we tasted an Angove red it made us do a double-take. How can it only cost that much?”

Second segment of this weeks Show: Angove Family Winemakers: Wine & Spirits Magazine 2010 Top 5 Value Brand of the Year - Tim Boydell

In 1886, the Angove family wine journey began when current Managing Director John Angove's great grandfather, Dr William Thomas Angove established a small vineyard and winery at Tea Tree Gully in the foothills surrounding Adelaide. Having recently arrived in South Australia from Cornwall, England he set out to make wine as a “tonic” for his patients. Through floods, fires, industry corporatisation and consolidation, vine pulls and compulsory acquisition of their vineyards Angove Family Winemakers have survived and remain proudly independent and family owned and operated.
