Dr. Joel M. Fisher, President & CEO of L.A. WineFest, had a vision for a large consumer wine event with broad appeal to serve the Greater Los Angeles area. That vision was first realized in 2006 with the inaugural 'L.A. WineFest', which is now a highly anticipated annual 'wine tasting extravaganza' in its sixth year.
Lodi Wine Country announces the 5th annual Lodi ZinFest-Wine, Food, and Fun at the Lake on May 15-17, 2009. ZinFest is the signature tasting event in Lodi Wine Country. Three distinct events make up this weekend of wine tasting bliss. Fri-May 15 is the ZinFest Vintner’s Grille - a casual evening of fine wines under the stars at Lodi Lake. Sat-May 16 will be the main event- ZinFest Wine Festival, and the weekend concludes with Winery Open Houses throughout the region on Sun-May 17.
The Pasadena Wine Festival, will be held at the Los Angeles Arboretum on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 & 4, 2009 from 4:30 pm to 10 pm. You will be able to sample wines and gourmet foods from around the globe in a beautiful outdoor setting and experience the best that Southern California has to offer. All ticket sales go directly to benefit the Pasadena Symphony Association.
Founded in 1983, SFCWC has since evolved immensely, expanding its eligibility to wineries throughout the US. In 2000, the event gained sponsorship from the San Francisco Chronicle and assumed the title as the "SF Chronicle Wine Competition". The Competition broke world records in 2007 with 3,800 American wines entered, a number that established it as the largest competition of American wines in the world. The 2008 competition raised the bar even higher, featuring an astounding 4,235 entries.
Featuring many prestigious Champagnes along with cuisine from some of each host city’s most talented chefs, Tour de Champagne provides yet another reason to celebrate the most delightful fruits of France. For the past 8 years, Tour de Champagne has delighted Wash D.C. oenophiles with its annual celebration of the wines of France’s finest Champagne houses. In 2008, the tour's 1st stop was Atlanta followed by Boston, Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC, and New York.
ZAP's Zinfandel Festival is an internationally recognized series of tasting events. Renown as the premier single-varietal tasting in the world, an estimated 275 wineries and over 10,000 attendees partake in the four days of Festival events. The ZAP Zinfandel Festival is held exclusively in San Francisco, and traditionally is a sell-out.
